Indiana Paper on Monday confirmed that star Tierace Heliberton maintained a torn Achils tendon in the NBA final game 7 necklace on Sunday night in Oklahoma City.
The all-NBA guard was helped to remove from the court and immediately took to the locker room in clear pain during the first quarter.
Passers said in a statement on Monday evening, “An MRI taken on Monday confirmed that Heliberton tore his right Akilis tendon.” “Surgery with Dr. Martin O’Mali in the hospital for special surgery in New York has been prescribed later today.”
The statement stated that the additional update on their situation will be provided as “suitable.” The specific recovery time for a basketball player with a torn Akilis tendon ranges from eight to 10 months.
25 -year -old Heliberton, playing through a stressed right calf, an injury that was suffering from the loss of Indiana in Oklahoma City.
The game was tied on the clock on 16–16 and 5:03 with the game, Heliberton accepted a pass outside the 3-point arc and pushed his right toe ball to start a drive for the basket. Instead of maneuvers of Shai Gilgius-Alexander’s past, he fell on the floor in pain while capturing the ball. While the Thunder went on the other way for a sting, Heliberton postponed the floor with his hand several times and was unable to put weight on the foot while going to the locker room.
Without Heliberton, Pacors were dropped from 56–43 in the second half as Oklahoma City won the championship with a 103–91 victory.
The two-time all-star scored nine points with three 3-pointers before leaving the floor. He took average of 14.0 points, 5.9 assistance and 4.6 rebound during the NBA final.
Fellow all-stars Demian Lylad and Boston Celtics of Milwauki Box are currently recovering from the same injury. They also, during the 2025 NBA playoffs, faced their injuries.
