“One person never …”: Nitish Rana broke the silence when RR was not sent by RR on VS DC in IPL 2025

IPL 2025 witnessed its first super over during the Delhi Capital vs Rajasthan Royals match at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Wednesday. DC batted first to score 188/5, later RR also managed to reach 188/4 in 20 overs. After slightly staggering in the middle overs of RR, 51 off Nitish Rana’s 28 balls put him back on the track. However, the match went into the super over after the score was tied. Interestingly, RR sent Ryan Parag, Shimron Hetmier and Yashsvi Jaiswal to the super over. They could not even complete six balls as they lost two wickets and scored 11 runs. DC chased Super on a target of 12 runs in four balls.
Nitish Rana was asked that he was not sent for Sopper.
“The management takes the call, not one person. The captain is with two other senior players and coaches. If Shimron Hetmier hit two sixes, you will not ask this question. I will give the same answer. I will not have the same answer. I have no other answer. Whatever decision has been taken was absolutely correct. Hetmyer knows our finisher.
“A person never takes such a call. Management and assistant employees are to discuss such things. If the decision was in our favor, your question would be different. Cricket is a result-oriented game. If Sandeep Sharma bowled well in the super over, which he did in the past, which in this situation, we were a big shot.
In a match, which had their ibs and flows, Delhi Capital (DC) grabbed his nerve to win the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in an exciting super over and climbed the table of the points at Arun Jaitley Stadium on Wednesday.
On a slow pitch, late arrival from Captain Axar Patel, Triston Stabs and Ashutosh Sharma saved DC from an uncertain position and enabled him to post a formidable 188/5. In response, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Nitish Rana broke 51 runs and threatened to win RR.
But Mitchell Starc’s nine runs in the final meant that the game went into a super over, which took place for the first time in the IPL after 2022. Stark again distributed for DC in the super over, as RRWASE kept up to 12. Stabs and KL Rahul kept DC calm to ensure an incredible victory, which was also in the new season.
At the Super Oval, DC Shimron proceeded with Stark against Hetmier and Ryan Parag. Both of them hit a border, including one by one, including a no-ball, setting a target of 12 runs to run out on gradual balls and win for DC.
After taking two runs off the first ball, Rahul single -handedly made Singal to Singip Sharma to four. Stabs then pulled Sandeep on a deep mid-wicket for six to seal an thrilling win for DC, who has now won a super over for the fourth time in his history of being in the IPL.
