On refusing to host PSL matches, UAE officials say “We give it to BCCI and J Shah”

While the India and Pakistan remain in the Loggerheads amidst the tensions on the border, cricketing relations between the two nations also appear to be less time. Pakistan’s premiere franchise-based T20 League-Pakistan Super League-Koch has been postponed indefinitely, as after the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) requests the UAE to transfer the tournament to the UAE. Similarly, the remaining matches of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the world’s best franchise league, have been relieved for a week.
According to a report, ECB rejected the PCB’s PSB’s request, after the Indian cricket authorities transferred the PSL matches at the top, including the President of the East Board of Control (BCCI) for cricket in India and the current International Cricket Council (ICC) chief, J Shah.
The report published by Cricbuzz highlighted close ties between BCCI and ECB, when one and a half IPL season was staged in the United Arab Emirates.
“We give it to BCCI and J Bhai,” an ECB official told Cricbuzz.
While BCCI has financial obstacles to platform IPL outside India, the same PCB cannot be said. So far, the future of PSL remains uncertain.
The PCB said, “We, in PCB, are also honest for the mental welfare of the participating players and the feelings of our foreign players, and we respect their families who want to see them back home,” admitting that the players were not ready to continue in the league.
PSL was left to play four league games and several play-off matches.
After the announcement by US President Donald Trump, things can improve between India and Pakistan in the coming days that they have agreed to the nation “complete and immediate ceasefire”.
