Ollers, Lightning Swap in the first round Sam O’Rery, Isaac Howard

Edmonton Olers ruled Hobby Baker Award winner Isaac Howard from Lightning, in turn, forward prospect Sam O’Rili sent Tampa Bay to Tampa Bay.
Oilors announced trade late on Tuesday night after three years, after signing further for entry level contract.
Before being played as a new person in Minnesota-Duluth, Lightning drafted Howard with number 31 pick in 2022 NHL draft. The native of Wisconsin held the next two sessions in the state of Michigan, where he won the top award in college hockey after scoring 52 points (26 goals, 26 aid) in 37 matches.
If there was no business, Howard intended to return to college for his senior season and become an unrestricted free agent.
Tampa Bay’s General Manager Julian Brisbois said in May that the 21 -year -old possibility was not closed for electricity.
“When I interacted with Isaac, he was very clear, and I appreciated his honesty, and I thank him for his honesty,” said Brisbois. “He gives importance to the opportunity to choose the club that he believes that he is best suited for him. And I will not speak for him, but he believes that right now, I would say that it is unlikely that we will sign him.”
The 19 -year -old O’Relli was taken by Edmonton with the number 32 pick in the 2024 NHL draft. He played for London Nights of Ontario Hockey League in the previous season, scored 98 points in 84 regular season, 98 points in playoffs and Memorial Cup Games.
