“Not easy …”: Anil Kumbal wants this player to lead India in the upcoming England Test series

Rohit Sharma called Time on his Test career on Wednesday. This was a stunning declaration by the right -handed batsman, which was the Test captain of the side by the previous series, which was played by India in the format. Rohit’s retirement leaves a large zero that the Indian cricket team needs to fill. Not only the batsman, but India needs a captain and also to convert it into format. The side starts its World Test Championship campaign with a five -match series against England on the subsequent domestic soil starting from June 20. While the selection committee has yet come to know who will be the leader during the outing, former India player Anil Kumble feels that the team should move forward with Jasprit Bumrah.

“Perhaps for this series (against England) go with Bumrah, and then see how his fitness is,” Kumble told ESPNcricinfo. “I know it is not easy to be a fast bowler. He suffered injuries, he was on a break after the Australia series, and is only returning to this IPL. But I will still go with Bumrah.”

Kumble admitted that it would not be possible for Bumrah to play all five testing matches. In particular, India’s desperate attempt to present Bumrah in all five tests in the last outing of the side in Australia saw Pesar a hurt and recalled a reasonable part of the cricketing action. Therefore, there is a huge requirement of a better charge management for Bumrah. “Whenever this happens, the vice-captain comes in and handles,” Kumble said.

The possible captaincy candidates for India in Test cricket are Jasprit Bumrah, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant. Bumrah captained the side in some tests during the tour of Australia.

So far, Rahul and Gill are in front due to the recurrent fitness issues of the vice-captain Bumrah. Bumrah, however, cannot be completely rejected.

Rohit, who led India in the four ICC tournament finals, win two of them, more than 11,000 runs and a Bonafide legend in the ODI with 32 centuries.

He dropped India’s most vigorous batsman in the second half of his career as he scored 4301 runs in 67 tests in total and on an average of 40.57 with 12 hundreds and 18 half centuries.

If Rohit’s close source is considered according to PTI, the champion batsman decided to retire from the Test after winning the Champions Trophy in March.

And although it was known for men who had done the case, speculation around their future was allowed to roam in the media by the authorities who preferred to come on records.

The selection committee, it has been learned, Rohit has not been given any clarity whether he will make it in the England-Bound Squad, which will be announced for some time next week. Rohit, on his behalf, made him clear that he wanted the final call on his career to be his own.
