Nick Kyrgyos will not play in Wimbledon due to ‘small setback’

Nick Kyrgyos will not play in Wimbledon after experiencing a “small shock” as he is cured by knee injury.
“I hit a small blow in my recovery and unfortunately will not return to the grass season this year,” Kyrgyos posted on social media on Tuesday. “I know how keen you are to see me from there and I am sorry to really disappoint me. It’s just a collision in the road and I am working hard to be more stronger than before.”
In 2022, the Wimbledon runner -up of Novak Djokovic, Kirgios, has dealt with knee and wrist injuries in the last two years.
The 30-year-old Kyrgios is 1-4 in singles matches this year, playing in the mid-march in the mid-March, where he lost 7-6 (3), 6–0 in the first round, to Karen Khachanov of Russia.
Earlier in March, he retired from his BNP Paribas Open before round, against the biotic van de Zandschulap of the Netherlands. He suffered a first round loss in his country’s Australian Open in January.
