NFL owners are planning to discuss a proposal to allow players to participate in flag football at the 2028 Summer Olympics at Los Angeles.

The resolution under consideration for next week’s spring meeting in Miniapolis will not allow more than one player of each NFL team to participate.

Nominated international players of each team will also be allowed to participate for their country when there will be the facility of flag football for the first time in summer games.

The NFL proposal includes some cavets that will protect teams in case of injuries, including “providing a pay cap credit for any player when installation and installing some minimum standards for medical staff and field surfaces.”

In addition, flag football schedules and related programs cannot “improperly” with NFL player’s team and league commitments. The gold medal game is a report of teams the same week that reports for the training camp.
