“Need to improve …”: Chennai Super Kings Batting Coach Explosives IPL 2025 reveals

Chennai’s Super Kings on Tuesday admitted that the five -time champion needed to improve the identification and nourishment of young talents. Currently at the bottom of the points table, CSK’s struggles in this season have been attributed to a large extent for a committing auction strategy. While the franchise has successfully revived the career of experienced players such as Ajinkya Rahane and Shivam Dubey, it continues to face criticism for not investing enough in emerging talent. “I think there is an area that we really recognized that we want to improve on us, the talent of things is the identity side,” Hussey said.

“So, we have different players and train with us in different stages, almost tested, but also that when their names come for auction, at least we have seen them, we have kept an eye on them.” Rachin Rabindra, Davon Conway, and Rahul Tripathi continuously failed to distribute, CSK turned to the youth.

The team handed over IPL debut to 17-year-old Ayush Matre and 20-year-old Sheikh Rashid after putting them through match-simulation training at their high performance center. He has also bought a 22 -year -old South African Developed Brevis.

“I mean, we send all videos, packages and accessories. But to really be able to see them in the meat, it gives you a little more to go.

“If we can play some practice games, see them (youth) under pressure, we can take more informed about the talent that we are looking forward to,” Hussey said that Hussey said ahead of the CSK’s IPL match against Punjab Kings.

Australian believes that while mistakes in recruitment are unavoidable, now the groundwork being kept can pay dividends in a long time.

“We are still going to make mistakes, no question. But if we can make more informed decisions, I think it will help the franchise to move forward.

“This is a great feature, which is a high performance center. It is a great resource for us, so we should use it. And be able to keep the players in situations in the practice game being close to the match.

“I mean, we can bat in the net, and that’s fine but it is close to what they are going to experience in a match to expose them in a match position.” Hussey said that the franchise will continue monitoring these young players in its domestic sports and will also be prepared better for the next season.

“We will keep a close watch on them when they are also playing their household items and will continue to work with them.

“It is not just working with them for two-and-a-half months, it is still communicating and the rest is working with them throughout the year, and seeing how they are going, especially in those pressure situations, seeing what their mentality is.” Punjab Kings fast bowling coach James James Hops admitted that the team’s middle order has struggled to influence in recent games.

He said, “It can be quite difficult when the top-order is doing well and the possibility is limited. The middle of us have not faced many balls in the last few weeks. They are training well. They will be good and will be their moments when necessary,” he said.
