Top Storylines on Saturday🚨📈
- Miami will host Cleveland for our first of two pivotal Game 3s today. The Heat are down 2-0 to the top-seeded Cavaliers after they fell just short of a 19-point comeback on Wednesday in Game 2. Cleveland shot better than 48% (22-45 3PT) from deep and got another 30-point performance from Donovan Mitchell to protect home court. Tyler Herro dropped a game-high 33 points in the loss, and he and Bam Adebayo will have to be even better to avoid Miami falling into an 0-3 hole.
- The Oklahoma City Thunder will try to be the first team to advance in the 2025 NBA Playoffs when they go for a 4-0 series sweep over the Memphis Grizzlies. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander went off for 31 points and 8 assists in his last outing, but Ja Morant is doubtful for this game because of the hip contusion he suffered in Game 3. The Grizz will rely on their trio of Jaren Jackson, Jr., Desmond Bane, and Scottie Pippen, Jr. to get their first win of the series and force a Game 5 back in OKC.
- After two incredible games between the Clippers and Nuggets in the West’s 4 vs 5 matchup, LA dominated Denver in the first-ever playoff game at Intuit Dome in a 117-83 victory to take a 2-1 series lead. Kawhi Leonard has been a beast through three outings, averaging 27.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.7 steals. Nikola Jokić is averaging a triple-double with 26.6 points, 11.0 rebounds, 11.7 assists and 2.3 steals, and he’ll aim to lead his team to a win and even things back up at 2 games apiece.
