NBA Final Game 2 rating is the lowest in about 20 years

A game 2 blowout in the NBA final on Sunday attracted 8.76 million viewers on an average, the lowest for Game 2 in the final in 18 years – Kovid -19 except 2020 during global epidemic.

Oklahoma City Thunder’s visiting Indiana pacers win 123–107, which was also 1-1 to seven-seven chains, the lowest seen game 2 in the final since 2007, when the San Antonio Sporse-Claveland Cavelend Cavalers had 8.55 million tunes for the matchup.

In 2020, the final game 2 of the final among the Miami Heat and Los Angeles in the Walt Disney World, attracted 7.54 million viewers.

This year’s game 2 viewership saw a downward fall of 30 percent from last year, when Boston Celtics faced Dallas Maverix, and was seen by less viewers than the 2021 series between Milwauki Box and Phoenix Sun, which was influenced by pendemic.

Last Thursday’s final opener won by pacers on the jumper of Tieres Heliberton with 0.3 seconds, 11 million viewers reached the peak around the play-winning shot and saw an average 8.91 million audiences. Sunday’s game saw the peak of 9.9 million spectators.

In the first two matches, the average of the audience number (8.84 million) decreased at least 24 percent from the last three finals.
