National Remach vs. Rides the rally at the rally at the Mets

Washington’s citizens will look at where they moved against visiting New York Met’s, when the teams meet for the second competition of their four-market series on Saturday.
After taking a 3–0 lead in the eighth innings, the National scored two runs in the ninth low in the 5–4 win over Mates. James Wood’s two-out RBI Single made CJ Abrams from the first base and ended the New York’s seven-game winning streak.
“They are a partition rival,” Washington Starter Jake Irwin said, who allowed a run in 7/3 innings. “These are sports that we have to win. Perhaps it is just a little deep digging. But these are sports you really want, really want.”
New York’s Clay Holmes (2–1, 3.16 ERA) faces Washington’s Brad Lord (0–2, 4.73) in a right-handed fight on Saturday.
Mets have found strong initial pitching in the early part of the season, and Holmes is no exception. He has given four earned runs or his five starts in less than four, including one run in each of his previous two outings.
On Sunday against St. Louis Cardinals, Holmes allowed one run on four hits in six innings. He hit six and two went to his longest beginning of the season, but did not get a decision in the 7-4 victory.
Holmes Washington vs. four relief appearance is 0–1 with 4.05 ERA.
After opening the season in Bulpen, God will start his fourth start. Last time, he conceded two runs on five hits in four innings of losing 3–1 to Colorado Rockies. He killed five and two left and he was accused of damage.
Washington’s manager Dave Martinez said, “I felt that he had really thrown the ball well.” “Very poem. I think we have something special in God. He goes out of there, he wants the ball, he is constantly attacking. He has a good understanding what he wants to do there.”
Lord has not allowed a domestic run in 13 1/3 innings this season.
Citizens have won five of their last seven matches.
Wood’s walk-off hit was the first of his young career. He completed the game 2 -for -5 and reached the base in 19 of his last 21 matches. During that period he has 11 additional base hits, 18 RBI, 12 walks, two stolen base and 16 runs.
The dialon crew on Friday did triple and 3 -for -4 with one run. He has reached nine out of his last 10 matches safely.
Mets thought that he would be in the storybook ending series opener. New York exploded for four runs in the eighth, three Marks coming to a blue-up triple under the right-field line by Wientos.
Wientos have hit nine out of their last 10 matches. He is three couples, one triple, two domestic runs and nine in that stretch with 11 -for -38 with RBI.
Closure Edwin Diaz left the game with a left hip cramp on Wednesday, and Rhin Stanak had a saev opportunity on Friday night, but could not go to the ninth place. Manager Carlos Mendoza said Diaz’s recent charge was the cause of Stanak’s presence.
“I was down today with the workload, but I (Saturday) will be good,” Diaz told the New York Post.
Met’s Catcher Francisco Alverez and second Basman Jeff McNell both went to 1 -for -4 in their first action in 2025 after returning from the injured list.
