
Natasha Howard doubled, Ketleen Clarke scored 20 points and host Indiana fever defeated Connecticut year 88-71 on Tuesday night.
Howard ended with 16 points and 12 rebounds, Kelsey Mitchell scored 17 runs and Damiris Dantas scored 13 runs from the bench, as fever (6-5) was finished 4–1 in the commissioner’s cup to win the Eastern Conference title after losing in 86-81 in New York, Atlanta.
Tina Charles scored 20 runs, Olivia Nelson-Ododa had 14 points and eight rebounds and Reserve Zeline Brown scored 13 runs to lead Surya (2-9), who went 1–4 in the commissioner’s cup play.
Hull and Michelle made each 3-pointer and fever started the third quarter with 8–4 spirts, producing a 55–43 lead.
Charles made two free throw, before Jessie Sheldon made a flagged 1 dishonesty against Clarke, and Charles, team fellow Marina Mabre and Clarke were called for technology for their reactions.
Clarke made three free thods and Howard added a tip-in to give Indiana a 60–45 lead. The Sanya rivers created a 3-pointer for the connectivity, but the fever finished with 8–4 runs to take a 68–52 lead in the end of the third quarter.
Surya rose within 71–61, but Indiana scored the next five points to achieve the command.
Another change occurred in the last minute and the fever of Sophie Cunningham and Sun’s Lindsay Allen and Sheldon were fired.
The Lexi plow and Clarke tied the score at four before making each 3-pointer to help the fever take a 14-8 lead. Fever headed by six before Charles scored eight points to help the connecticut tie the score at 18.
Indiana scored the next six points and Surya scored the last five runs, leaving the fever with a 24–23 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Clarke had seven points and three assistance, and Indiana increased by 41–33 midway through the second quarter. Charles replied with a basket, before the fever took the biggest leadoff of half at 47–35.
Brown scored a field goal and Haley Peters added two free throw for the final points of the quarter, and Indiana took a 47–39 halftime lead.
