The NASCAR will switch gear and rotate its championship weekend site starting in 2026.

In the last 23 years, only two tracks have hosted the title race: Homestand-Mamami (2002–19) and Phoenix Raceway (2020-present) season-ending Tripleheader.

With Super Bowl or Final Four, to bring the final of the cup series, the Xfinity series and truck series will promote exposure in more markets at different places.

Unlike those events, the rotation model of NASCAR is played on a similar fields and courts, potentially can change competition due to different -lengths, surfaces and conditions of the track of the circuit.

Ben Kennedy, NASCAR’s Executive Vice President and main site and racing innovation officer said, “After the playoffs are more unexpected every year, the championship site to be in a different place, I think you can get different teams and drivers the ability to get up on the occasion to be crowned a champion.”

Kennedy said the 1.5-mile homestand-mammy will host in November 2026, and that 1-mile Phoenix will also be in rotation, but other tracks will be announced later on several factors.

“I would say these are four or five things,” Kennedy said. “This is of course, and it is the place, and it is the place. We want to stay in a hot weather market. Ideally, in November, in November, in the first week of November, it limits you to the amount of races you can run. Capital in homestand ahead of the race.

“Racing products, I think, is another big part of it. And then overall, it is a reaction to the entire industry. So we collaborate with our broadcasting partners, our teams. We hear from our drivers what they think, many of our corporate partners, and then there is a big voice of fans, and fans, and we receive their discourse on every year.”

Guillermo Santa Kruz, president of the Homestad-Mammy track, considered it the first place in the new rotation.

“There is nothing that has the ability to be one first and you have that empty sheet of paper in front of you and say,” Okay, what are we going to do? ” Then you start, “he said.” As a creative person, I like it. I like the ability to do so. This is my favorite thing in the world. “

This year NASCAR’s championship will be in Phoenix from 31 October-November. 2.
