Naphesa Collier Nets 28 to lead Lynx Fast Mistic

Nefeesa Kolier scored 28 points on 11-for-21 shooting, and Minnesota Links attended Minianpolis on Thursday night to win a 92–75 win over Washington Mistics.

Courtney Williams finished with 10 points, six rebounds, eight aids and five stolen for Minnesota (15–2), which returned from the defeat against Indiana fever in the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup Championship Sports on Tuesday. Kayla McBrid and Alana Smith also scored every 10 points.

Lucy Alassen scored 19 points on 7-for-10 shooting to lead Washington (8–10). Alia Edwards added 15 points and six rebounds, and Shakira Austin scored 10 points. Both Olsen and Edwards came out of the bench for mystics as Washington had only 32 points.

Minnesota shot 46.3 percent (37 -of -80) and 34.6 percent (9-26) beyond the chap. Washington shot 45 percent (27-60) and 15 percent (3-to-20) in total from the 3-point range.

Mistic took a double -point lead in the first quarter. Stephanie Dolson knocked the 3-pointer to keep Washington at the top 24–14 in the last minute.

Jessica Shepard responded with a basket to cut the deficit 24–16 with 19.1 seconds to enter the first quarter.

Minnesota kept moving from there. Links dropped Mistics out 27–14 in the second quarter and took a lead of 43–38.

McBrid made a 3-paper to start 9–2 runs for links to eliminate the first half. Coliere chased with a jump shot and three-point play on a free throw, and Smith punctured the run with a 3-pointer with 0.1 seconds.

Minnesota dropped Washington out of a margin of 27–14 in the third quarter, leading to 70–52. Links scored the first eight points of the second half for Smith’s 3-pointer, a bridge-up jump shot by Williams and 3-pointer by colir.

The mysticists tried to remove the deficit in the fourth quarter. Austin made a pair of free throw to bring Washington within 6:48 within 74–61, but Kolier replied with another three-point play that the links of Links were raised back with 16 points with 16 points.
