AJ Salgado’s two-run doubles gave the fourth innings of four runs to give the number 15 UCLA, which the dead state needed to be held in the Mains College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska on Saturday.
After promising the first and second innings, only one run was held, UCLA (1-0) broke in the decisive fourth. Phoenix Call and Dean West sung, then Roach Cholowski laid a successful sacrifice to call.
Roman Martin’s two-out RBI Single gave Bruins a 6–0 lead over the racers, before the lead double of Salgado.
Murray State (0–1) avoided early hazards, to avoid a base-load, there was no external innings in giving only one run at first. In the second, Dean West drove in the Cashel Dagar without any exterior, but the West was caught returning first after trying for two. The tag helped the racers to avoid momentum and loss.
Racesses scored fifth and sixth positions on Carson Garner and Dan Tuken RBI, and Dialyn Zentco came in relief to score the UCLA for 2 2/3 innings.
Jonathan Hagart, who went to 3 -for -5, moved to third place in the seventh, but the dead states could not take them home. Racer cut the deficit in two runs with a pair on August Suja in the eighth, but did not come close to the dead state.
Easton Hawk placed the racer down in ninth place, with the winner of Saturday’s No. 3 Arkansas-No, to save Bruins and Bruins in the match on Monday. 6 LSU Games. Murray State attracted the Arkansas-LSU loser in Monday’s elimination game Matini.
