Murray state edges Duke reaches MWCs first

Jonathan Hogart helped the lead dead state in the 5-4 victory over Duke in the decisive third game of Durem (Nekan) Super Regional twice, sent to racers in the first men’s college world series in school history.
Murray State (44–15) became the eighth and final team to get a place in MCWS, which begins in Omaha, Neb on Friday. The racers will open against the UCLA on Saturday.
Luke Miston made two hits for the dead state, including a single homer in the eighth innings, giving the racers a 4–3 lead. Dan Tuken added an RBI to the frame that proved important when Duke’s Macon Vinslo lit a single homer at the bottom of the eighth.
Graham Kelham (4–1) threw a run-of-2 2/3 innings to release a run for victory.
Duke Reluver Reid Easterly (9-3) scored two runs on homes by Hogart and Mistone in three innings.
Apart from Vinslo, Jake Hyde and Jake Berger also went deep for Blue Devils (41-21).
