Chennai Super Kings Skipper MS Dhoni, while providing an important update on his Indian Premier League (IPL) future, excavated a large scale on this critics. Dhoni’s disappointing run has resulted in a lot of criticism of experts along with both fans, while CSK did not help finally finish in the table of points. However, Dhoni said that he has ‘4-5 months’ to decide his future, but he did not confirm if he was returning for the next season. Dhoni also said that cricketers cannot take decisions about their retirement, which are based on performance alone before adding that people will ‘retire on 22’ otherwise.
“This is good. I wouldn’t say it was home today. We did not have a good season, it was one of those correct performances. We have not caught very well, but the catching was good today. It depends. It depends. I have 4-5 months. It is 4-5 months. It is not a hurry to decide. There is no hurry. The body needs to be fit. If you will retire for your performance.
“I will go back to Ranchi, enjoy some bike ride. I am not saying that I am doing it, I am not saying that I either have a luxury of time. Will think about it and then decide. When we started the season, four games were in Chennai. We decided to bat in another place, but I felt that I was concerned for the first time.
“We can run the run on the board, but some holes to fill. Ruturaj does not need to worry about many things in the next season. You feel old. I feel old and he sits on the last seat and he sits next to me. He (Andre Siddharth) is just 25 years younger than me, which I think I am old,” said Dhoni.
