MS Dhoni asked Australia to retire from IPL with “I Love You Message”

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni is before his best, and there is no denying this, yet the franchise has not seen them beyond them. Dhoni has again had to donate the captain’s cap again this season, as Primary Captain Ruturaj Gikwad was dropped from the season due to injury. Even at the age of 42, Dhoni is drawing wires in CSK, with the franchise, it is clearly watching about future wicket-keeper and deputy captain.
Despite the challenges facing this season, Australia’s great Adam Gilchrist does not think that Dhoni should continue to play in the IPL beyond this season as ‘he has nothing to prove’.
“MS Dhoni has nothing to prove to anyone in the game. Well, he would know what to do, but for the future, perhaps he doesn’t need to be there next year. I love you, MS, you are an icon and an icon,” Adam Gilchrist said on the cricketer.
Dhoni highlighted his future before the start of the 18th edition of the IPL. Experienced wicket-keeper Batter said that he wants to enjoy playing in the IPL for some time, but is not yet ready to take a certain call on his career in the T20 league.
“I have been retired since 2019, so it will be a long time. Whatever I have been doing in the meantime, he wants to enjoy cricket for the last, whatever I will be able to play in a few years,” Dhoni said further from IPL 2025.
“I want to enjoy it, as I did as a child when I was in school. When I lived in a colony, it was time to play at 4 o’clock, so we used to go and play cricket and do not play more often. But if the weather does not allow, we used to play football.
Dhoni also indicated that he would have 10 more months to decide whether he wants to play in IPL 2026 or not after the end of this campaign.
