New Delhi: Mohammed Shami’s wife Haseen Jahhan has once again made serious allegations against the Indian cricketer, claiming that he has refused to provide basic financial assistance to him and his daughter, and tried to ruin his life. The High Court amended the amount, given that Shami’s income and financial revelations indicate that he is able to pay more.Justice Ajoy Kumar Mukherjee said, “In view of the materials placed before me … there is a need to amend the amount of interim monetary relief fixed by the court below.”“The wife of the petitioner, who has been unmarried and living independently with the child, deserves a flat maintenance, which she enjoyed during the continuation of marriage and who, along with her future, makes the future of the child safely,” it further said.Jahn had earlier filed an FIR in 2018 under several allegations against Shami and her family, including domestic violence, dowry harassment and match-fixing allegations, which he later reiterated in court filing. He initially sought Rs 7 lakh per month for himself and Rs 3 lakh for his daughter as an interim monetary relief for his daughter.
