MLB Roundup: Hunter Brown, Astros shut down Blue Jais

Hunter Brown extended his consecutive scoring innings to 24 and Houston Astro on Monday ordered a fifth innings of four runs in a 7–0 win over Toronto Blue Jais.
Brown (3–1) surrendered two hits and released a walk in the seven major innings in its third consecutive scoreless. Brown’s 24 shutout innings streak this season is the longest in Major and the longest by an Astro Starter as Christian Xavier kept the 25 1/3 scorer innings together in 2022.
Blue Jais managed to push a Basarner into a scoring position with brown on a bump, but George Springer was left third in the second innings. Brown served in the seventh order to finish his night.
Toronto’s right-handed Kevin Gausamman (2–2) matched the zero with Brown, before the bottom suddenly fell into the fifth innings, when Houston scored five runs with six straight batsmen.
Mets 5, Phillies 4
Francisco Lindor visited Philadelphia twice and Tyler Megill in 5 1/3 innings, as New York opened with a win in the initial season of the National League East rivals.
Megil (3–2) allowed only one hit and four walks, taking out 10 in an attempt of 92-pic, which gave New York their fifth direct victory. Max Kranik and Edwin Diaz jointly combined to score four ninth runs, but Diaz achieved his sixth savings.
The Philosian Starter Aaron Nola (0-5) continued his thick start for the season, tagged for seven hits and scored four runs in 6 1/3 innings. The outing actually reduced NOla’s earned run average to 6.43.
Red Sox 4, White Sox 2
Walker Buholar allowed one run on four hits and hit nine in seven innings, helping Boston go to Chicago at the beginning of the Patriots day.
Rob Refsander hit a house run for Boston, which was his first. The Trevor Story had three hits for red sox, while Christian Campbell added two hits, including two runs single.
White Sox received a single home run from Andrew Benntendi, which collected two hits out of five hits of the team. Boston won three out of four matches in the series, while defeat dropped Chicago’s road record 1-9.
Conservator 6, Yankise 4
Jose Ramirez club a three -run homer and an RBI single couple and Kyle Manjardo also deepened as Cleveland visited New York for his fourth direct victory.
Gavin Williams (2–1) just allowed Jasan Dominguase’s two-run homer and hit eight in 6 1/3 innings for guards, 10–3 since six out of his first nine. Cad Smith killed Yankis Slogger Aaron Judge, who represented Taiting Runs to end the game.
Jazz Chisholm Junior club a two-run homer for Yankis, while the starter Clarke Schmid (0–1) achieved seven hits (including both cleaveland homes) while strike in seven innings.
Marlins 6, Reds 3
Max Mayor played six scorer innings and hosts Miami cooled Cincinnati.
Reds were coming out of the 24–2 win over Baltimore on Sunday, but they did not run against only five hits and mayor in a three-game series opener. Miami received three runs from Kyle Stores, a single explosion from Pinch-Hit Homer and Eric Wagaman.
Jesus Tinoco of Miami finished ninth for his second sev of the season. Reds Starter Nick Lodolo (2-2), who came out of paternity leave on Monday, played 5 2/3 innings, leading to seven hits, two walks and three runs. Gavin Lux led Cincinnati’s crime with a two -run homer.
Tigers 6, Padress 4
Gliber Torres made three hits and scored two runs, as host Detroit down the three-game series opener down San Diego.
Zach Mckinstry supplied three hits, scored one run and scored in the other. Cyder Montero gave four runs (three earned) in 4 1/3 innings. Brain Honeyfi (1-0) threw two innings of scorer relief.
San Diego’s Gavin sheets and Oscar Gonzalez added two hits, including one RBI single. Starter Randy Waskes (1-2) conceded six runs in two-plus innings.
Braves 7, Cardinals 6
Michael Harris II ran into a Go-Farward run with a sacrifice fly and Sean Murphy chased with a three-run homer in the eighth innings as Atlanta came from behind to visit Saint Louis and increase his victory streak in four matches.
The winning pitcher was Dezabel Hernandez (2–0). Closure Raisel Iglessius allowed three runs in the ninth innings, including two -run homer for Wilson Contrass. Iglessius found Nolan Aranado to end the game, although Iglesius did not survive.
St. Louis’s Eric Feddy played six innings and conceded two runs on five hits. Atlanta’s Spencer Shlavenback played seven innings and allowed three runs (two acquired) on eight hits.
