A trio of the aristocratic pitcher takes the mound on Sunday – the best weapon in the American and the national leagues.

Scans have played seven or more innings in only five out of 18 – a reflection of modern sports. It is difficult to imagine pulling a young Bob Gibson or Nolan Ryan after six such frames.

Opposing him, Reds is Ruki Chase Burns, who will start his third Major League. His second outing was disastrous: he gave seven runs (five earned) and five hits to Red Sox on Monday, while he recorded just one. The number 2 pick in the 2024 draft is highly talented – but Cincinnati can take her into the headlines.
