Mitchell Starc, Donovan Pharreera Skip IPL Return; Will Jack be back to mi

Mitchell Starc and Donovan Ferrera of Delhi Capital have opted not to return to the remaining part of the IPL, while England all-rounder Will Jack will re-include Mumbai Indians for his last two league fixtures. Australian Pacer Starc and South African batsman Ferrera have made their decisions for the Delhi Capital Management. Starc has been an important person in DC’s campaign, emerging as his leading wicket -taking with 14 scale in 11 matches at an average of 26.14. His absence is a significant setback for Delhi’s already thin playoff expectations.

Meanwhile, Ferrera has played only once a time this season.

Fellow has joined the DC team for South African Triston Stabs for the remaining three league matches. The World Test Championships will be unavailable for the final-bound stabs playoffs. DC should be eligible.

However, there is still no clarity on the availability of DC vice-captain FAF du Plessis.

For Punjab Kings, Marcus Stonis and Josh Iglis have agreed to join the team, but will recall to resume their first game post IPL on 18 May.

Mi Batter Jack on Friday confirmed his return by posting a picture of his flight ticket for Mumbai on Instagram.

But like the compatriot Jose Butler, Jack will leave for national duty after completing the final two league engagement of Mumbai Indians as IPL play-offs are hitting England’s white ball series against the West Indies starting on May 29.

Mumbai Indians are currently fourth on the points table and will have to win the remaining two matches to confirm the playoff berth.

The IPL was stopped for a week due to military tension between India and Pakistan. It returned by 3 June on 3 June on Saturday, with the finals with the international commitments of players from South Africa, England, Australia and West Indies.
