Micco Ranton’s hat trick takes previous jets in opener

Micco Renton scored three consecutive goals in the second round for his second straight playoff hat trick, leading to the visiting Dallas Stars 3–2 against Vinnipag Jets in Game 1 of his Western Conference Semi-final series on Wednesday.
Ranton scored three goals in the third period of winning 4–2 against Colorado avalanche in Game 7 of his first-round series on Saturday.
Jake Otner made 30 saves for stars, who lost eight straight games 1.
Nino Niederreiter and Mark Scheifele scored runs, while Connor Hellboak stopped 21 shots for jets, coming out of the game 7 win against St. Louis Blues on Sunday.
The game of the best-seven series is in Vinnipag on 2 Friday.
For the first period, the jets took a 1-0 lead at 3:30 of the second, when the niadrator scored a distant outward of the net from the bottom of the correct circle with a backhand.
Ranton scored another goal at 8:43 of his three goals and tied it 1–1. Helbuke made a savings on Evageni Dadonov, but the rebound fell into the crease and Rantan pushed Pak into the net with one hand on his stick.
Ranton scored the middle frame again at 14:21, when he touched a point shot while in the left circle.
Dallas was on a power play when Rantan completed the natural hat trick, so that it could be 3–1 at 16:38. The shooting of his wrist from the right circle got away from the skate of Vinnipag Defenseman Dyberg and made Ranton in the net the first player in NHL history with several three-grains during Postsen.
Jets trimmed the deficit of the other 3–2 at 17:35, when scored with a wrist shot from the right hashmark from a feed from Gabriel Willardi.
Scheifele recalled the final two matches of the first round series against St. Louis Blues after maintaining an unknown injury in Game 5.
Dallas also returned its second major point scorer from the regular season, Jason Robertson, who missed the first round victory against avalanche with a knee injury.
Both teams were recalling their top defensemen: stars ‘Miro Hiscane (Knees) and Jets’ Josh Morrisi (upper body).
