Mets’ RHP Blade Tidwell to start against cardinals in DH

New York Met’s wanted to relax more for his early pitcher during a hard stretch of 13 games in 13 days.
He also wanted to take his first regular season look on Pitching Prospect Blade Tidwell. His rain in St. Louis on Saturday will help him meet both goals.
Tidwell will start his big league in a day-night doublehead opener against cardinals at St. Louis on Sunday. Fellow right-handed tayler megill (3-2, 1.74 ERA), scheduled for Saturday’s Mets, will start the second game with an additional day.
Mets defeated Cardinals 9-3 on Friday and improved 5–0 against St. Louis this season.
The Tidwell, the 2022 MLB draft had just 1-2 with 5.00 ERA in six in a second round pick Triple-A Sirakuse. But he influenced the mates in spring training after offsen, a producer of training.
Met’s manager Carlos Mendoza said, “You got to give him credit.” “He worked very hard, put himself in a situation where he came in and impressed everyone because he was physically watching and how the ball was coming out.”
Among the minors, in their last two, Tidwell hit 18 batsmen and only one went away.
“They earned it,” said Mendoza. “We know that there is goods. We saw its glow in spring training, and the way he is throwing the ball, especially recently.
“We needed a spot start, he put herself in position, and he is getting a call.”
Mets believes that it is an important reverse.
“It comes down to execute, throw a strike, because we all know how much electricity his luggage is.”
Cardinals will start Eric Fedded (1-3, 4.68 ERA) in the first game and Andre Pallante (2-2, 4.13 ERA) in the second.
Fedede Milwauki will try to rebound from some outing against Bruers. He gave 10 hits in 5 2/3 innings and seven runs on two walks in 7-1 defeat on 27 April.
“When you are a man who sometimes leaves a lot of land balls, just happens,” said Fedde. “I started mixing it in the previous two innings, a little different sequencing and they went a little better.
“(I) I will just keep working on things. The sweeper started feeling a little better today and I am going to be more aggressive.”
Fedde did not get much success against Mets. It is 1-5 with 6.51 ERA in 17 appearances (12 starts).
This season, Mets suffered a 4–1 defeat. He conceded four runs on seven hits including Mark Wientos’ Homer in the game of 17 April. It is 0–2 with 4.43 ERA in nine career games (two beginnings).
The rain will force cardinals to play its second doubleheader within a week. He won two games from Reds in Cincinnati on Wednesday,
Cardinals called Michael McGrayi from Triple-e Memphis to pitching the possibility, where he was 3–1 with 4.08 ERAs in the beginning. He was scheduled to begin in minors on Saturday, but he will work out of Bulpen on Sunday.
In the last season last season, in four matches (three beginnings) with cardinals, he was 3–0 with 1.96 ERA.
“I was just happy to come back to the big league,” McGrivi told Mlb.com. “We have found a great group in memphis, but it is heaven, and this is where you want to be.”
