Mets rally, defeated the card on Francisco Lindor’s Homer

Francisco Lindor led the bottom of the ninth with a long house running for the New York Mets, returning by defeating St. Louis Cardinals 5–4 on Friday night.

The Mets have won the first two matches of the four-game series and four out of six in total. Cardinals have lost three out of four.

Brandon Donovan of St. Louis tied the game by humbling to lead the ninth against Husskar Brezoban (1-0), before Lindor saw the third pitch from Ryan Fernandez (0-2) in the second deck in the second deck in the right area. It was the only hit of Lindor night and 250th homer of his career.

Lindor dropped his bat and stared at Met’s Dugout before starting his trot.

This was Lindor’s second walk-off RBI. He flew the ninth innings sacrifice in a 3–2 victory over Toronto Blue Jais on 5 April.

Mets briefly took the eighth lead when Louis Taurnce doubled the RBI. New York had tied the game twice the first. At the fifth, at its two-Run rally, Tyrone Taylor (Triple) and Juan Soto (Single) had RBIS, and in the sixth, in the sixth, when Mark Vietos operated on several nights.

Pete Alonso took two walks for three times and two for the mates.

Nolan Arenado had two hits for cardinals, including a run-scoring single at the top of the sixth to give St. Louis a 3–2 lead. Pedro Page and Jordan Walker stopped cardinals with RBI singles in the second and fourth respectively for a 2–0 lead.

Donovan finished 2-for-4 and extended his hitting Streak to a career-high 14 games.

Met’s Starter David Peterson conceded three runs on seven hits and did not walk more than nine sailing in 5 1/3 innings. Cardinals Starter Miles Micolas conceded two runs and two runs on 4 hits, while 4/3 innings out.
