Seattle Meriners Catcher Cal Raley crossed the Johnny Bench, a famous Johnny Bench for most of the homes before the all-star break by an primary catcher, when he hit two against Chicago cub in Friday’s 9–4 victory.

Rale has 29 Homer to break the records standing up to 55 years. The Hall of Fammer Bench hit 28 in 87 matches as the primary catcher of Cincinnati Reds before the 1970 all-star break. Rale has passed that mark in only 73 matches.

Raley was honored for its name associated with the bench, which was considered one of the top catches in the history of the game.

“At any time you have been mentioned as one of the best in the same sentence – if not the best – it is clearly a special, special thing to do so,” Rale said. “So I am very grateful.”

Raley said that he met the bench at a Gold Glove Award ceremony in New York last November. He said that a large part of his discussion revolves around stability.

The 28 -year -old Raley recalled one of the 74 matches of Seattle this season. In addition to its major-League-Leading Homer Total, Rale has 63 RBI and a .273 average.

He founded 34 Homeers and 100 RBI career in the previous season.

Rale is in a position to score a run in a single-season homer record of Salvador Perez for a primary catcher. Perez slammed 48 in 2021.

Raley first hit a single homer in the first and a two -run shot in the seventh on Friday.
