Bangladesh all-rounder Mehidi Hasan Miraj won the ICC Mains Player of the Month Award in April 2025, after performing solid all-round-round in the Home Test series against Zimbabwe. He defeated Zimbabwe’s blessings Mujarabani and New Zealand’s Ben Sears to receive the monthly award. Mehidi also became only the third player from Bangladesh to win the award and the first one was done in more than two years – Shakeb Al Hasan was the last Bangladesh player to win the award in March 2023, while Mushfiqur Rahim is the winner of honor for the other person.
“It is an incredible honor for winning the ICC Mains Player of the Month Award. The ICC Awards are the final recognition for any cricketer, and it matters a lot to me to get it by a global vote.”
The ICC said in a statement on Wednesday, “Such moments remind me of my journey – the name of the player of the tournament in the 2016 ICC Under -19 World Cup was a massive encouragement in my career, and the award seems exclusively.”
Mehidi enjoyed a vipul with a bat and ball on April 2025, which ends the two -match Test series against Zimbabwe as a series player. After taking ten wickets in the opening Test match defeat in Silhet (5-52 and 5-50), Mehidi again hit 104 in the second game in the chatogram-to share another five wickets to share the second Test century-honor and share before to share. He also became a match player in Bangladesh, winning the Chatogram Test.
