Masataka Yoshida set to start the season as Red Sox Host Rockies

Masatak Yoshida is expected to be in a lineup when Boston Red Sax tries to complete the three-game sweep of Colorado Rockies on Wednesday.
Prior to Boston’s 10–2 win over Colorado on Tuesday, Red Sax Manager Alex Kora said Yoshida would be restored from the 60-day injured list and the team’s nominated hitter in the lineup on Wednesday night.
Yoshida and Rob Refsiner are expected to platon in Boston’s nominated hitter spots, in which Yoshida begins against the right hand pitcher.
“Most DH, but it’s not like last year where he is not going to play outfield,” Kora said. “He is healthy, he is throwing the ball well and we will use it for that day’s need.”
31 -year -old Yoshida has not played for Boston this season. He performed shoulder surgery and completed the five-game Minor League Rehab Assignment on Monday. He played the first two games with Triple-e-Worster and in the next three matches with Double-A Portland.
Yoshida’s return creates a logzam in an outfield including Jaren Duran, Seden Rafala, Roman Anthony, Rob Refiner and Wilir Abru.
“I know a plan of (blank), and I trust him,” Duran said. “So whatever I need to do, I am going to do. … He is a good manager and he is doing it, and I trust what we need to do for the team.”
Boston would like to expand his winning streak in six matches on Wednesday. Red Sox won Monday’s game against Colorado 9-3.
Colorado’s Kyle Freeland played five scorer innings on Tuesday before scoring three runs in the sixth. The disadvantage dropped his record to 1–10.
“I felt it was one of the better outings of the year,” said Colorado manager Warren Shefer. “All his braking goods were working. He was keeping the ball where he wanted. He was worth receiving through that sixth innings.
Boston’s right-handed Lucas Giolito (5–1, 3.66 ERA) is scheduled to begin on the mound for Boston on Wednesday. The two career performance against Giolito Rockies is 0–1 with 6.30 ERA, both begin. He has allowed 12 hits including three domestic runs in 10 innings against Colorado.
Giolito played at least six innings in each of his last five. He is 4–0 with 0.83 ERA during that five-game stretch.
Boston also has a comfort bullpen as Brian Bello introduced a full game on Tuesday.
“He was at the point,” Kora said. “Some swing and Mrs. were at the top of the hits, proceeded, stayed forward, buried them. He was really good.”
The Right Antonio Cenjatela (3–12, 6.57 ERA) is listed as a potential starter of Colorado. This will be Senejatela’s first career appearance against Red Sox.
Senjettela will face a Boston team, who has scored 86 runs in their last 10 matches. Tuesday’s win was the 15th time when Red Sax scored at least 10 runs in a game this season, the highest in any team in the American League.
