Vegas Golden Nights captain Mark Stone left the game with late Edmonton Oilers in the first period of Saturday night’s Stanley Cup playoffs.
Stone did not play the last six minutes of the opening frame and did not return with the club club after the first time. The club announced the midway through the second period that the stone would recall the remaining part of the game.
In one of his last innings, Stone lost his leg as he tried to make a sharp turn while trying to play, and he fell. Corey Perry of Edmonton unknowingly skated him. It seems that either Perry’s skate hit the hand of the stone or his leg hit his arm.
Stone scored four goals and four assistance in eight-plus games in this year’s playoffs. Edmonton took a 2–0 lead in Saturday’s game 3 of the semi-final series of Saturday’s Best Western Conference.
Vegas was also without Brandon Saad due to low body injury in Game 2.
On Tuesday, it turned 33, which finished second in the team in a regular session with 67 points (19 goals, 48 aids) for 33 years on Tuesday. He has 231 career goals and 403 assistance with a Plus-141 rating at 706 regular-season games since the 2012-13 season. He is with Vegas since the 2018-19 season, including the Stanley Cup Championship in 2023.
