Pinch-Hiter George Polynco and Coal Young hit back-to-back homes at the top of the ninth, with the victory of Visiting Seattle Meriners on Sunday with a win of 8-4 in three-game sweeps of Detroit Tigers.

Polesko broke the tie of 4-4 with his long ball from Tommy Kahanal (1-2). Julio Rodriguez prepared for the third straight game and an RBI double added to the ninth. Randy Arzrena and Mich Garvar also ran home for Seattle, while Matt Brash (1-0) won the relief.

Seattle Starter Logan Gilbert took out the nine and allowed only two unrighteous runs on six hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Dillon Dingler scored two runs and Riley Green worked for the tigers, who lost their fourth straight. Detroit Starter Jack Flehry gave two runs and four hits in five innings with seven strikes.

Detroit scored two-outs of Dingler, two-numbers twice below the first.

Rodriguez ripped Seattle on the board on the board on the right field wall for his 14th homer. Tigers had three solo at the bottom of the innings, but did not score.
