Marina Mabre put in 34 points and the Connecticut Sun defeated Atlanta Dream 84-76 in Uncasville, Con on Friday night and raised a very necessary result.
Tina Charles contributed 19 points and Briya Hartley scored 11 points for The Sun (2-6), who was to lose 48 points in New York in her first game. Friday’s competition was part of the WNBA Commissioner Cup.

The grinner, who was limited to a field goal in 15 minutes in his last outing after remembering the previous game with a knee injury, shot 7 -for -10 from the ground and also caught six rebels. Atlanta had a full week since his last game.
Dreams did 12 turnover, more than one sun. Apart from the 26-point third quarter, Atlanta did not get a 20-point mark in any other quarter.
Mabre scored the last six points of the first half of the connecticut, as Surya took a 36–35 lead for a break despite a 1-for-8 points over 3-point attempts.
