Madison Keys, avoid upset in Aryana Sabalenka Wimbledon

The sixth seeded Madison Keys won 6–4, 6–2 over Olga Denylvic on Wednesday, with Wimbledon to proceed in the third round.
Keys required only 75 minutes to reject their Serbian enemy, after Elena-Gabriella re-extended Russia in a fierce, three-set match under a terrible circumstances on Monday.
Keys said during his on-court interview, “I definitely feel a little more comfortable today-it is cloudy, the rain England that we know and love, so it helped a lot … it felt a little more normal here today.”
Earlier this year, Kise, who won the Australian Open, fired three aces, was 19 winners and overcame seven double defects to be victorious.
“I knew that I wanted to get speed quickly as much as I could and were trying to keep it,” Keys said. “I knew that she could really play great tennis, so just wanted to get a lead and then wanted to run away with her.”
Keys established a third-round match with Laura Seigamund of Germany, who won 6–2, 6-3 over Canada’s No. 29 Seed Leyla Fernandez.
Top seed Aryana Sabalenka fought through a hard first set to win 7-6 (4), 6-4 over Czech Mary Buzkova. The native of Belarus saw the five aces and was 41 winners against only 18 unexpected errors.
The Sabalenka was happy to move forward in the tournament and to avoid the fate of the second seed Goff, the third seeded Jessica Pegula and the fifth seed of China Kinwen Zheng. Later three players have been removed from the tournament.
Sabalenka said in her on-court interview, “It is very sad to see so many top players losing in the first round, but you are better to focus on yourself and stay away from the results.”
He then lightened the mood with a joke.
The top seeded player said, “I hope there is no other deflation in this tournament.”
Sabalenka, who is bid for her first Wimbledon title, will face the winner of a Wednesday match between 2023 champion Marketa Wondrasova, a check and local favorite Emma Redukanu.
In addition, on Wednesday, Spaniad Christina Buxa won 6–1, 6–3 over Croatia’s No. 22 Seed Donna Wikic. Sonay Kartal of Great Britain also topped the Bulgarian Victoria Tomova in straight sets.
