The Minnesota Links and Dallas Wings will collide for the second time in the early week of the WNBA season at the Minoria, teams already set up a marching order for their respective campaigns.
Last season last season, links played in the league finals properly raised, where they left and became one of the best teams in the WNBA. Meanwhile, there is a group in Dallas, infection, including a new coach and nine new players including Page Beukers, the first overall pick in the WNBA draft of the previous month.
Minnesota agreed to his home opener after beating 99-84 on Friday and then Los Angeles-one and the team which had no place, but 89–75 on Sunday.
Neeffa Kolier scored 23 points in winning for Links, while Alana Smith scored 18, courtney Williams 13 points and 10 assistance and Jessica Shepard added her own double-dabble to the bench with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Minnesota led only one in Los Angeles, but kicked it in a pattern in the second half, who copied his victory over Dallas on Friday.
“We don’t want to be the second half team,” Williams said. “The energy that we are bringing (on defense) in the second half, we want to bring for 40 minutes. It is just understanding that we have to come out and be aggressive, first to punch people.”
The wings first hit the road after a back-to-back home setback for Minnesota in 2025 and most recently, Seattle on Monday. In the later competition, Dallas led the second quarter, but fell behind 15 points on the break before 79–71, falling from 79–71 to 0–2.
Bueckers led Wings with 19 points in their second professional game. Nalisa Smith and Maddy Sigryist each pairs 12 for Dallas, while Tera McCowon scored 10 runs from the bench.
Dallas all -star guard Eric Ogunbole scored only eight points on 2 -14 shoots, showing that the wings need to be firing all their considerable weapons to create an impact.
Bukers-Ogunbole Backcourt’s ability has been said a lot, but chemistry and acquaintance is not a process that can be done in a hurry.
“As much as it is exciting to play with Eric in the backcourt, we are trying to grow as a team,” said the beukers. “We are not focusing on any pair, trio. … We are focusing on one through 12 and how we look as a team.”
