LSG Pesar Akash Singh reiterated the controversial festival of Digwesh Rathi. Watch




Lucknow Super veteran Pesar Akash Singh paid tribute to his team partner Digwesh Rathi during the Gujarat Titans, an Indian Premier League 2025 match vs. Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Thursday. In particular, spinner Digvesh recalled the game as he was serving a match suspension for his quarrel with Sunrisers Hyderabad batsman Abhishek Sharma in the previous game of LSG. Digwesh took out his trademark ‘Notebook’ celebrations and sent one to the batsman after dismissing Abhishek.

Digwesh did not work well with Abhishek. The SRH opener accused the spinner in anger, resulting in the umpires intervened and created peace between the two players. After the game, both the players were punished for the spat.

The war of words between Abhishek and Digwesh was not limited to the game, the spat continued even after the competition. During the post-match handshake, the pair again exchanged some words and this time, LSG’s assistant coach Vijay Dahiya also intervened and urged them to resolve the differences. A few moments later, both Abhishek and Digwesh were seen walking with their arms on each other’s shoulders.

Amidst all this drama, LSG owner Sanjeev Goenka also came out and had a quick conversation with Abhishek. At this moment, SRH batsman Ishan Kishan was also present with the pair, and some pictures of his meeting went viral on social media.

Later, Abhishek also said that everything was fine between him and Digvesh.

Talking about the game on Thursday, Mitchell Marsh slammed his first IPL century, as LSG defeated the playoff-bound GT by 33 runs, losing the four-match line. Marsh scored 117 runs off just 62 balls, while Nicolas Gorn remained unbeaten at 56 from 27 balls, LSG helped post a total of 235 for 2.

In response, Will O’Rureke took three wickets to help LSG ban DC up to 202/9 in 20 overs.
