Social media fans recently got a fun and nutritious moment from the personal life of Indian cricketer Shreyas Iyer. In a video, which has now gone viral, Iyer was seen playing cricket with his mother Rohini Iyer inside his house. What the clip stand did was his mother’s joyful celebration when she managed to get her out – a moment that pleased fans on social media. The video shared by Punjab Kings on its official X handle shows Iyer carelessly wearing a white T-shirt and black shorts, playing barefoot with a plastic ball in his living room. The suited game between mother and son took a blessing turn when Rohini bowled the Indian star, and celebrated with sheer enthusiasm – took up arms and a big smile like any proud cricketer. Punjab Kings captioned the post, “Only time sarpanch would have no objection to bowling! ♥ ️”, referring to Iyer’s surname. Iyer, who recently represented Sobo Mumbai Falcons in the Mumbai T20 League after the IPL 2025 season, is currently on a break. Cricketer’s pictures in Kazakhstan went viral among the first fans. The Indian Test team is in England for a series of five matches, but Iyer was not selected for the squad, despite expectations that they can slot in the mid -order after senior players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli’s test retirement.

Iyer made his Test debut against New Zealand in 2021 and played 14 matches so far, scored 811 runs with a century and five fifty. The video gave fans a glimpse to Iyer’s personal side – enjoying rest and family time during a break from international piece.
