Logan Thompson made 27 saves and Tom Wilson on Thursday won the Washington Capital 3–1 on a Carolina storm tour in his Eastern Conference Semi-final series.
Connor McMCEL and John Carlson also scored for Capital. The series is tied 1–1 because the storm considers the benefit of the house. Game 3 is in Rale, Neck on Saturday
The Carolina series is excluding Washington by a margin of 61–35, including a 28–21 lead in Game 2. Despite this benefit, the storm has scored only three times against Thompson, which has been a force in the net of Washington throughout the playoffs.
After stopping 28 out of 28 shots in Game 2, Thompson has sterling. 931 saved percentage and 2.01 goal average on seven postsen games of capitals.
Shayne Gostisbehere had the only goal of Carolina, and Frederick Anderson stopped 18 of the 20 shots.
After collecting only 14 shots in Game 1, Capital had nine shots alone in the second period on Thursday, which was part of a much more frequent aggressive performance.
On the 2:16 mark of the second period, an attempt to withdraw a dirty withdrawal from Sean Walker near the middle of the snow eliminated the mcMachael on a breakway. Forwards buried the wrist shot for their fourth goal of the playoffs.
Another quick target in the third period was 1:54 in the third period after the first strike of the capital. During a power play, a good passing sequence with Carlson’s shot from the circle concluded.
Washington was 1-for-3 on Power Play on Thursday, finally solved Carolina’s excellent penalty-kil unit. Prior to Carlson’s target, the storm was a perfect 19 -for -19 at the killing of its first six playoff games and the first two periods of Game 2.
The storm excluded the capitals from a margin of 17–7 in the third and made it a-gol on the power-play tally of Gosticabere at a mark of 9:26. It was closer to Carolina, as Wilson sealed the Capital victory with an empty-ane goal in the last minute.
