Lions look at Remach to avenge the loss of last week against Blue Bombers

Nine days after opening their season with a 34–20 domestic win over BC Lions, Vinypeg Blue Bombers travel to Vancouver for Remach on Saturday.
This game can be more notable for who will not play.
Both teams will be without star players for crime. Winnipag, who runs back to Brady Olivera (shoulder), is out after being injured earlier last week, and BC Receiver Stanley Berryhill III has been declared for Remach.
This is not just a worry of lions. Quarterback Nathan Rourke (diagonal) is slate for the dress, but veteran backup Jeremia Masoli will begin behind the center after Rourke’s departure last week in the fourth quarter.
Masoli has taken the first-team representative in practice this week and played most of the fourth quarters in Vinnipag, completing 7 out of 10 passes for 84 yards with a blockage.
Madoli said on Tuesday, “You are ready to work every day.” “This is the always business. (Rourke) just more representatives are taking a little rest here, but are right now.”
Perhaps this is a good thing for BC that Masoli begins. After throwing 324 yards in the season-opening route of Edmonton two weeks ago, Rourke made 12 out of only 27 attempts in Vinnipag with a score and one obstruction for 249 yards. This is their fifth direct disadvantage for blue bombers, dating back by 2022.
Meanwhile, Blue Bombers did not have much trouble overcoming Olivera’s loss as Matthew Peterson played as an injured star. Peterson compiled a touchdown on 130 yards and 23 carry in his CFL debut.
“This is my first film, so I surprised them a little,” said Peterson. “This next game, they have to know who I am and stop me. But with this aggressive line and with the weapons we have, it’s going to be difficult.”
This will be for the season series of West rivals, in which the playoff matchup will be stopped.
