Lexi Thompson, 5 others ties Meizer LPGA Classic

Six players, including Lexi Thompson, are tied on top of the leaderboard on Saturday after three rounds of LPGA Classic in Belmont, Mich.
Thompson gave a card of 4-under 68, as was done by Denmark co-leader Nanna Corstz Madsen and Sophia Garcia of Paraguay. Sweden’s Madleen Sagstrom tied for the best phase of the day, given a card of 5-under 67, while Hi-Jin Choi of South Korea and Carlota Siganda of Spain posted 3-ectors 69 to make each six-Khiladi logs.
“Of course, it was a close call last year, but it is a proper game yesterday,” Thompson said, who lost to Lilia Wu in a playoff in Bellytield CC layout in 2024. “Everyone is going to exit. Tomorrow a good weather, so I know that Burdies will have to make and I would hope that I will do the best work.”
Thompson, who has not won the tour since 2019, recorded seven Birds and three bogies and ended at Nos 16 and 18 with Burdies.
Sagstrom dazzled the crowd, produced eagles on the fourth and sixth holes, sandwiched around a shirt on the fifth. The 2025 LPGA match play winners, who came out of the fairway on the sixth, were found below 12 with a shirt on 14, but parked the par-4 16th hole 11th.
“At the end of the day I knew that I was rolling the vessel well,” Sagstrom said. “It was in a way – keep it in the fairway and give yourself some opportunities.”
Sagstrom will be combined with Thompson and Corstz Madsen in the last trigut of the day on Sunday.
“I am just trying to stick to my practice and hopefully they will work for tomorrow,” COSTES Madsen said. “I think I still have some good confidence on green. Today there were some speed things.”
Australia’s caris Davidson is two strokes below 9, while four players – including Megan Khang – are under 8.
“Today’s era was slightly up and down,” said Khang. “This is not a great start to start your round with a bogie, but it was really good to save a very good on number 2, and three-bird to go on the stretch … 3 via 3 … definitely had a good bounceback for me.”
Chinese Taipei’s V-Ling Hasu tied Sagstrom for a low round of the day and is tied to 12th position at 7-under equal.
