Atlanta Braves did not look like a contender 10 days ago, but they are rolling after winning seven of their last nine matches.
Atlanta will take that speed against Colorado Rockies on Monday night at Denver. Brevs will send Bryas Elder (0-1, 5.57 ERA) in the right-hand matchup against Colorado’s Ryan Feltoner (0–1, 3.86).
Braves started the season with a record of 0-7, then on Sunday climbed up to 5–13 before the end of the three-market road series for Arizona Diamondback before the end of the three-game road series.

Elder has been slated to make his fifth beginning of the season and is coming out of his best outing of the year. He played five innings in his first three beginnings of 2025 and allowed 12 runs, but on Wednesday bounced back to give just one run in six innings in a win against St. Louis Cardinals.
He did not win, Elie White broke a tie with a three-run homer in the eighth and won the Brevs 4–1-but he gave a relief to Bulpen and kept Atlanta in the game, while going to bats.
“We needed someone to go for a long time; I was happy that I was able to eat some innings and pitch it very well. I was very excited about it,” said Elder. “Even though sometimes the crime is slow, I think it is going to be good for us. Some adversity is good. It is fun to see people looking at things and better bats, it is fun to see.”
The two career has an alder 2–0 with 3.75 ERA, which begins against Rockies. One of them came to the outing Colorado when he allowed four runs in six innings in a 14-4 win on August 28, 2023.
He faces a Rocky team that has lost in six consecutive and is 4-23, the franchise’s 33-year existence. Colorado is coming out of a home sweep against Cincinnati and there was no hit for 5 2/3 innings in the 8–1 defeat on Sunday.
After receiving him from Texas Rangers on Saturday, Colorado tackled his best young player, Azciel Tower with injury and added Infielder Alan Trejo to a 26-man roster. The Tower has a hip fusion and is expected to come back in about a week.
Trejo was drafts by Rockies in 2017 and started his major league for him in 2021. He played 173 games for the club before being nominated for assignments in the last summer.
He joined Los Angeles Dojers on a minor league deal for the rest of the 2024 and signed as a free agent with Texas in Offsen. He was playing for Triple-e-Round Rock.
The 28 -year -old trajo was happy to re -connect the organization.
“I got a couple phone call (Saturday) from some people here. It’s great,” said Trejo. “You leave a place and you think you will never see those people again, and then the next thing that you are receiving a phone call that you are returning and they are the first people to call you. It means a lot.”
He had one of the three singles of Colorado on Sunday, and it was felt that it is Felonler’s turn to lose the streak against a team of Rockies whom he has never defeated. Feltoner is 0-3 with 11.91 ERA in three careers, which begins against the brave.
