League-Best Links Riding Momentum to Visit to Mystic

WNBA leading Minnesota Links has wrapped a place in the commissioner’s cup final against Indiana on 1 July, but first they look at their speed as they pay the visit of Washington mystics on Tuesday.

Links (12–1) hoped to return the WNBA’s top scorer Naphesa Collier to the lineup when she missed with a game and a half injury with a half injury.

Kolier suffered an injury to the 76-62 win over Las Vegas on Tuesday, which ended with seven points. She sat out of the 82-66 win over Los Angeles on Saturday.

The Collier is a league-high 24.4 points per game average, but its early place was filled by Maria Kliundikova. Starting his second career, Clindicova prolonged 12 points in win and eight rebounds (both season high).

“We were going to be uncertain what was going to happen,” Links Coach Cheryl Reve asked about the step to change the colir. “We spent a few days looking at different options … and then you include the players, and so they put us on top in one direction. They are very comfortable with (kliundikova).”

Kayla McBrid picked up most of the scoring slack from Kolier as she extinguished the season-high 29 points, 9-for-13 and 5-for-7 -7 with a 3-point range. Links shot 53.6 percent in total, but there were 21 turnover without a colir.

Reeve said on Saturday, “(Callier) should be back, perhaps on an aircraft yesterday,” Reeve said on Saturday. “So we should expect him (back). … That’s what we think that is going to happen.”

The 91-88 overtime on the crook-powered Mystic (6-8) Dallas comes into the game.

The victory included the instrumental first year standout Sonia Citron (27 points on shooting, 11 rebounds) and Kiki Irafen (19 points, seven rebounds, six assistance, five theft).

The leading scorer Brittany Cyx was held for eight points, but young stars helped win the victory as the remaining 3-pointer with 12 seconds had a difference between the tiebreaking 3-pointer.

“We have two special players here.” “It comes down to more than talent. It is professionalism.”

Washington is currently a one-half game behind Indiana and Las Vegas for the number 8 location in the league.
