Late free-thro allows Miss Dream to catch the Mystic

Elisha Gray scored a team-high 18 points on Friday, as Atlanta Dream closed a fiery rally to win 92-91 from Washington Mistics to College Park, GA.

Washington fell behind 16 points in the third quarter, but within three when Gray left Britney Cyx with 0.1 seconds in an attempt of 3 points. However, Cyx recalled the second of the three attempts, saving the dream.

Brianna Jones added 14 points and Rin Howard chased 13 for The Dream (9-4), who won his fourth game in five attempts. Jordan Canada had 11 points, while Britney Grinner scored 10 points and seven rebounds.

Shakira Austin had a season-high 28 points and 10 rebounds for Washington (5-8), which dropped his eighth game in 11 attempts. Cyx offered 21 points and eight assistance and Sonia Citron scored 17 runs in the loss.

The mysticists reduced their deficit with less than seven minutes over seven minutes, which survived the second triple of the Citron game. Canada and Austin then traded the paste before six directly Atlanta Free Throw, making the lead to 13 with the remaining 5:29.

Emily Angestler made a paste and Austin rebound Jones’ missed jumper, but could not make all three of his foul shots to level the gray game.

After proceeding from nine in Halftime, Dream took a 56–43 lead over the 6:56 mark of the third quarter after Howard and Gray’s Lups and Jones 3-Poicter. The difference increased by 16 points to grow twice.

Nia Coffee later helped Atlanta gain 72-57 lead before Angestler’s free throw and Cyx’s paste made Dream’s age 12 to enter the final quarters by 12.

After taking a 24–22 lead in the second quarter, Atlanta’s advantage increased to 13 with less than a minute in the first half as Howard and Grinner’s paste started 6–0 to push the margin by 47–34. Sykes’ free throw and Austin’s paste pulled the halftime deficit of Mistics to 47-38.
