La 2028: Olympic cricket tournament will be played at temporary stadium in Pomona

Fairplex has an existing Grandstand, built in 1932 and has a capacity of 8,000. It is to be rebuilt this year, but is not yet certain that it will be included in the stadium plans.
The site has first organized concerts between 40,000 and 60,000 people.
The International Cricket Council (ICC), International Olympic Committee (IOC) and LA 2028 Organizing Committee worked together on the choice of the venue.
However, it is understood that the LA 2028 organizers and IOC had the last to say.
ICC President J Shah said that he was ready to cooperate with IOC to make “a big success”.
Shah said, “This will be a great opportunity to expand traditional boundaries, when it is rapidly included in the Olympics, the exciting T20 format, appealing to the new audience,” Shah said.
The possibility of a temporary site for matches will once again increase concerns over the use of drop-in pitches.
For the 2024 T20 World Cup, which was co-maintained by the United States, an eye-catching 34,000 seat stadium was built in New York.
However, Drop-in pitches at NASAU County International Cricket Stadium at Easenhover Park got into a thorough investigation after playing poorly.
The only previous presence of cricket at the Olympics was Paris in 1900, when Great Britain won 158 runs against France against France, after the return of the Netherlands and Belgium.
The England and Wales Cricket Board are understood to have held an initial talks about the plan to include a teamgab side with Cricket Scotland, which is set to determine the qualification process for ICC Games.
