KL Rahul became the fastest batsman to reach 5000 runs in the Indian Premier League (IPL) as wicket-keeper Better reached the milestone during the eight-wicket victory of Delhi Capital on Lucknow Super Veterans (LSG) here on Tuesday. Rahul reached the elusive milestone in 130 innings and defeated David Warner (135), Virat Kohli (157), AB de Villiers (161) and Shikhar Dhawan (168). Facing his former team that he captained the IPL 2024 before he was released by the franchise after a franchise encounter with the owner of the franchise, Rahul scored a slow and stable unbeaten 57 runs in 44 delivery to cross the line and claimed a big win.
Goenka has now talked about his feelings about Rahul. He called him a “Sherif Man” and said that he has both respect and love for him.
Goenka said on TRS Podcast, “KL Rahul has always been a family for me and he will live like this. He captained Lucknow for three years and showed great results during his tenure. I really wish him good, no matter what.”
Talking about Rahul, Goenka said, “Sherif is a human (he is a good person).” “He is a very honest person and I want everything to be with an honest person like him. He is also very talented and I want him to showcase his talent in the world. I am sure he will do well. My best wishes are with him.”
