Sacramento Kings and General Manager Monte McCenaire on Wednesday agreed to participate mutually after the team played the team.

Team owner Vivek Ranadive said in a statement on Thursday, “I want to thank Monte for his leadership and the invaluable contribution made during his time to Sacramento. He helped set up a strong foundation for continuous success here, and we wish him and his family best wishes in his future efforts.”

According to several media reports, Kings are finalizing a deal to fill the vacancy with Scott Perry, who was GM of New York Nix since 2017-23. Perry was the vice president of Sacramento of Basketball operations in 2017.

MCNAIR completed his fifth season in role. In Sacramento’s 2022-23, he was named NBA executive after the league-riddled 16-year playoff drought drought.

The Ninth seeded Sacramento season ended on Wednesday night with a domestic loss of 120–106 to 10th seeded Dallas. The Kings ended 40–42 in the regular season and missed the playoffs for the 18th time in the last 19 sessions.

MCNAIR allegedly lost decision -making power in the organization, which this season fired head coach Mike Mike Brown after 31 games and created waves with a series of significant roster tricks. Sacraramanto signed Darmar Derejan as a free agent in July and traded the Dearon Fox on a time limit and acquired Zach Lavin from Chicago Bulls.

The Kings compiled a .488 winning percentage in five sessions under McNAir as compared to the .362 clip during the last five campaigns.

MCNAIR worked in September 2020 in the front office of Houston Rockets for 13 years before hiring as Kings GM and Chairman of Basketball Operations.

Perry, 61, started her NBA front office career in 2000 with Detroit Piston. He was an assistant GM for the then Seetal Superstars in 2007-08, vice-president of basketball operations from 2008-12 and a piston for orland Magic from 2012-17 and an assistant GM and VP.
