Kevin Duunt won NBA’s Magic Johnson Award

Phoenix Sun Star Kevin Duunt is the winner of the 2024-25 Magic Johnson Award.
Professional Basketball Writers Association gives the NBA player the award per year that excels in court and displays “cooperation and grace in dealing with media and fans”.
Durant also won the award in the 2010-11 season, with his fourth, Oklahoma City Thunder in the League.
He becomes the fourth two -time honor to join Stephen Curry (2016, 2024), Demian Lylad (2017, 2020) and Shane Batier (2007, 2013).
“We are really pleased to re -honor KD,” said the president of the association Howard Beck. “Kevin has long been one of the most thoughtful and accessible stars of NBA. He always makes time for journalists, whether on-the-recorded interview or just for informal chit-chat, and he never moves away from any subject. The locker room after the epidemic, recognizing how important it is to make confidence and coordination between players and journalists.”
The 36-year-old Duunt was named as his 15th all-star team in the 2024-25 season. He received 26.6 points per game, 6.0 rebounds and 4.2 assistance.
Donovan Mitchell of Cleveland Cavalers finished second in the voting, with Bam Edibayo of Miami Heat, Tieres Helibton of Indiana Paper and Drummond Green of Golden State Warriors with other finalists.
The award has been given annually since 2001.
