Kelsey Mitchell, Jordan Canada win on dreams

Kelsey Mitchell dropped a team-high 25 points and Indiana fever out of Atlanta in the second half to win 99-82 in Indianapolis on Friday night.

Aliah Boston added 19 points, eight assistance and six rebels to Indiana (10–10), before the Sophie Cunningham came out of the bench for 16 points and 10 boards. Ketleen Clarke provided 12 points and nine assistance.

Jordan Canada acted in defeat for Atlanta (12-8), scored a career-high 30 points and got eight assistance. Rhine Howard added 14 points to the second quarter’s disappearance with a knee injury and the Britney Grinner stuck in 10 to go with eight rebounds.

Fever opened it in the fourth quarter, dropped the dream from 30–17 and leads as 20 points at the last minute. After hitting the Golden State 80-61 domestic losses from the ground on Wednesday only 30.9 percent, Indiana canned 11 out of 30 3-pointers and ended at 46.1 percent from the floor on Friday night.

Atlanta was 11 out of 29 on 3-pointers and finished the game from the ground at 44.8 percent. Forward Broni Jones, who managed to just six in 24 minutes before flying 14 points per game.

At the fourth and final regular-season meeting of the teams, Atlanta scored 10 direct marks in 10 seconds in 71 seconds for a 12–4 lead in the first quarter as Canada hit a 3-paper and set the Howard for a 3-plan.

It was the beginning of an explosion, some would have predicted. In a matchup, which had eight all-stars at one point in his career, it was Canada, not an all-star, who left for 26 first half points. Her sixth 3-pointer enabled the dream to take a 45–40 lead in the break.

Indiana fought back in the third quarter, launched 29 points as Mitchell launched the rally with three-point plays, three flagant foul shots and a long 2-pointer. This enabled fever to take 70–65 benefits for the last 10 minutes.
