Kayla Thornton, Valkyries overtime in sparks sink

Kayla Thornton and Tammy Fagbenl on Monday recorded a double-dabble, leading the Golden State Vulcaries to win the 89–81 overtime at Los Angeles Sparks.

Thornton placed an amazing point on his 18-point, 11-ribound performance in the last minute of the additional period, when she came with a board in traffic, while the Golden State took a lead of 84–81.

Five Golden State scorers reached dual figures, adding 15 points from the Lite bench and 10 in reserve duty. Veronica Burton added another nine points to the Golden State, with seven free-thro line.

The competition was part of the Commissioner Cup, which improved Golden State 2–2, while Los Angeles slipped from 1-2.
