Justin Marx: ‘It was time to move beyond Daniel Suarez

Earlier this month, Trackhouse Racing announced that Daniel Suarez and organization would be farewell methods in 2026. After the Chicago Street Race on Sunday, Justin Marx, the owner of the trackhouse, addressed the divorce with reporters.
“When we … our three years and our five -year plan and sponsorship and everything that we are trying to complete the company in the next five years, we just reached a point where we felt that this relationship has caused a lot of fruits for us, but it was time to move forward,” Marks said.
Since the NASCAR debut five years ago with a trackhouse, the only Mexican-born driver Suarez, who won a national series race at the NASCAR event, started as the team’s only driver.
But he is the only driver in a current team of three to win a race in 2025, and he is the lowest in the group in regular-season point standing. Team’s partner Ross Chastain is the eighth and has a win; Shane Van Gisbergen, who won in Chicago on Sunday, is 27th; While Suarez in 29th.
Addressing the possibility of poor blood, Marx spoke of a meeting with Suarez on Saturday night, both reminded about their years together.
“He and I are in a really good place.”
Trackhouse and Suarez have earlier called Bidai a “mutual decision” that gives an experienced driver a chance to provide another opportunity for the next season. Marx on Sunday echoed that feeling, while also accepted the need to make a change.
“See, Daniel has now been a big part of this company for four and a half years,” Marx said. “This is not a game where you do the same thing forever.”
In an interview with Siriusxm Nascar Radio, Suarez spoke of being a new chapter for him.
“I know about this for some time,” said Suarez. “I really feel a little relieved that it is out and people know about it and we can talk about it and we can move forward with future plans and continue working. I am excited for whatever comes forward.”
33 -year -old Suarez has won two races in 305 cups of start. This is his fifth season with trackhouse racing, and he has made the playoffs twice. His best season was in 2022, when he finished 10th and won his first cup series race. He finished 12th in the last season, winning his second race in the process.
Trackhouse has so far named a replacement for number 99 Chevrolet.
