JP Crawford Club Grand Slam to Power Meriners Over Guardian

JP Cropford hit a Grand Slam and Emeron Hancock played seven scorer innings, as Seattle Meriners completed the three-game sweep of the Cleveland Guardian with a 6–0 win on Sunday afternoon.

Crawford, celebrating his first Father’s Day as a father after the birth of a daughter, went deep into the second innings of five runs, Louis Orties (3-8).

Hancock (3-2), who was coming out of three consecutive no-deals, in which he played at least five innings and did not allow more than two runs, just gave two hits, run one and hit four.

The right -handed batsman faced 22 batsmen, which was more than the minimum for seven innings, and did not allow a Basarner to reach another base.

The Loan Hit of Hancock was a two-out single by Lane Thomas in the second innings and a leadoff single by Angel Martinez in the third. Martinez was immediately erased as Austin hedges, playing for the first time after returning from the seven-day convention list, joined a double game.

Hancock ran Thomas with one in the fifth, but the next batsman, Nolan Jones found on the ground in another double play.

Randy Arzrena of Seattle led the other with three walks and Rowdy Tellez doubled the left-field line. With one, Dominic Canzone moved to load the hideouts. Miles Mastrobuni performed a single to-right to open the scoring and Crawford hit 1-2 sinkar above the seating area in the lower bowl in the right ground for his fifth career slam.

Meriners worked on one run in fifth place as Arozrena walked a leadoff, stole the second and scored two-outs on the two-out single of Mich Gawar.

KC Legumina and Eduard Bazardo of Seattle put each each in a scorer innings of relief to complete the shutout.

The parents lost their last 10 matches for the eighth time.
