Jofra Archer Eyes Return for India vs England tests, England is likely to play for Lions vs India

Jofra Archer last played a first class game 4 years ago, but India vs may return.

Joffra Archer can return to Test cricket, starting with the India vs England series. The English Speedster last played a Test match in 2021 and was suffering from many injuries and surgery since then. Now, those days are looking behind the pace of Rajasthan Royals, who could face men in blue next month.

Jofra Archer is the possibility for red ball return, will he create India vs England series?

The struggle of Joffra Archer with injuries meant that ECB always took more care when using its services. The 30 -year -old last played a first class game in 2021. In fact, his last Test was also against India in Ahmedabad. Since then, Archer has played a massive T20 to manage his charge and fitness.

The English pacer has gradually taken ODI, playing a handful of games in the last three years. He was nominated in the ODI squad for the West Indies Odis later this month, but was not nominated in the T20 squad.

It can open a place for him in the England Lions Squad, which faces India before the tests of India vs England. Archer has been in a fine form in IPL 2025, bowling above 145 kilometers per hour. He does not seem to be in any inconvenience and the issues of his recurring injury seem to be a matter of the past.

Bharat A and England Lions faced in a four -day game in Northampton, starting from 6 June. While the selection of Archer for that game is not certain, leaving him out of the T20 squad has increased optimism in England’s ranks. The 30 -year IPL 2025 campaign with Rajasthan Royals ends on May 24, which cleared it to play 3 ODIs. The final ODI vs West Indies is 3 days before India on 3 June.

Archer Return cannot be good news for India

Northampton should have archer features and manage to stay injury, return to the test squad will not go away. It is unlikely that he plays all 5 tests, but one game or two can still be good news for Ben Stokes. With both James Anderson and Stuart Broad retiring, England are desperate for some fast bowling and Archer can provide it.

In his short Test career, 30 -year -old has created a name for himself with aggressive bowling. He hit Steve Smith with a vicious bouncer, who left the Australians in 2019. In 8 tests at home, Jofra has an average of 30 wickets on an average of 26.86. He took 22 wickets in the ashes of 2019, average average 20.27.

Given India’s inexperienced batting order, Archer can feast very well on his return to cricket testing.
